Grenada

Founded in 1836, Grenada, Mississippi is the results of the unification of two feuding towns through the wedding of a couple. But, strife continued until the townspeople were drawn together to defeat a common enemy, when Confederate General Pemberton stood in the path of Union General Grant's second campaign against Vicksburg. Today, Grenada, Mississippi is a very scenic community with much to offer the traveling public. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy Grenada Lake, home of the award winning "Thunder on Water" Safe Boating Festival, and visitors can browse the museums, shops and restaurants.
