DeSoto Family Theatre presents “The Secret Garden”
The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett’s and Directed by Andi Lehman, is one of the twentieth century’s most beloved stories about orphaned Mary Lennox, who arrives at Misselthwaite Manor a spoiled, friendless and sickly child. She discovers an overgrown garden behind the manor walls, neglected and abandoned much like Mary herself. The garden has been locked since the death of Misselthwaite’s mistress over a decade ago and with the help of her new acquaintances, Martha and Dickon Sowerby and Ben Weatherstaff, Mary slowly transforms the garden and undergoes a transformation of her own! She discovers that selflessness can open the door to happiness.
